In this catagory I believe "ink abs capa" is correct where abs is short for absorber.
The deutsch is below but it's basicly saying that the #5 is capacity in terms of percent (0 to 100) which can be changed by the numeric pad, or in my experence a pair of other buttons if you have a printer...
I still need to translate this bloody manual. I know it was kinda translated but the language used in one section isn't the same as in another.
The service mode is clearly indicated as [menu] [scan] [copy] [scan].
Under #7 "printer' there I think is an option to change the value of the...
The current model is Chromalife.. I.e. ip3000/4000/5000 etc etc etc. And near as I can tell the mp790 is just the mp780 just the japanese version. I know it gets confusing becuase it's cleary indicated that the mp790 uses the chromalife100, but for some reason japan got that earlier then we...
I like my MP760 even though it reported a paperjam when there was none and my only resolution was getting the sucker replaced. I have to admit I like canon's return policy. Doesn't work? We'll send you another, box up the old one, we'll pay to get it back. I didn't get free ink like I did on...
Righto, these sites have moved so update your links.
CJB had some nasty stuff happening with their popups. There was a report of a trojan "PacerDMedia.Installer" on one of their popups. As a direct result knightcrawler and my self moved our sites.

There is little data abut the subject. If you are refilling and have chips already... from what i'm told you'll get three warnings that the cartridge is empty and a final "continue at your own risk" type message.
Now... I read somewhere else that someone accidently set their ip4200 as a...
I'll rephrase... it's common in America to not ship internationaly... those who do often prefer dealing with Fedex which is spendy, or UPS which is also spendy. I never understood the logic, the only reason I can think of is being too lazy to make a run to the post office. Canada is a far...
The problem you'll run into is many companies will only ship internationaly via companies like Fedex. They won't for example go to the offical US postoffice and mark on a customs form "stationary supplies". We're talking a $50 shipping fee via FexEx. I think www.inksupply.com is one example...
Which if you ran your printhead dry and it was determined this was the cause for failure this would be a good means of establishing a valid reason to not honor warranty service. Now the fact that they chip their cartridges, provide no valid means of resetting them, nor provide anything...
If you are still under warranty canon will send you a new head next day air. Some users had to e-mail them a copy of their nozzle check which is fair enough. When talking to them it seems to help if you tell them you tried the cartridge in question in another printer. It's good...
Don't worry about it... this is trivial information about a printer similar to one I get annoyed with on a regular basis.
If your not looking for color printing....and don't refill your self... think about the huge black. BC-20 may cost $42.00 canadian but I believe it's slightly over 4...
I'm one of those who buys refillable tanks for the ip3000 and mp760. Rather than syrenges I have blunt needles attached to bottles. Time to refil is moments, mess is close to jack squat using the standard foam type... as in a few drops on the top as I pull the blunt needle out, easly resolved...
I just checked to see if you can still buy the ip1500 or the ip2000 in the store for $50... and it seems they have been replaced by the ip1600 which sells for about $50 which is very very very bad in terms of printing economy... as in the black ink costs $20 and provides less volume and yield...
