Hi @flyboy
I also wanted to include that both of those printers do duplex printing yet not auto duplex scanning. Thought that was important since you included "duplex" in the title of your post.

Hi @flyboy
They sure look very similar.
I usually check and see if there is any difference in the ability to get it repaired when that occurs.
If getting repairs is similar, the main differences I see are that
- The HP has a higher printing speed by about 30%
- The brother could be lower cost...
It is advertised as 95% DCI P3 at thsi link:
KOORUI E2721F 27-inch IPS QHD 100Hz Business Monitor
I don't know much about this monitor and have not seen any detailed reviews of the pros and cons for different applications such as photo editing (stabiity, accuracy over the whole screen etc)...
Hi @Lynnea1941
Regarding the first line, I tracked it down, and unfortunately, the trail led back to your post here on PrinterKnowledge, so it's effectively incorrect.
As far as the goal, I agree with the post by @Ink stained Fingers.
I have found no information or references indicating that...
HI @Lynnea1941
I have an Epson P900, and the pattern they use is unfortunately not the same as what you show for the P700. A bit odd since the head and mechanism are the same. I don't know if that is because we have different firmware versions or if they are just different between the P700...
Hi @beneix
Bottom line for me is you might be better off going the path of a colorimeter.
Here are some things to consider.
I am pretty sure that Vuescan can convert readings from scanning an IT8 target and create an ICC profile. Yet there a couple issues of which you should be aware
There...
Hi @Carsten
I have the P900 and my brother has the p800.
I have done quite a bit of technical testing of the P900 and have shared those findings in previous posts I have made.
To the first order, I doubt you would notice a difference in print quality with the P900. I would consider the...
Just to let you know, you did not scan and share the nozzle check pattern. It helps to visually see the pattern (not your text description) in the debug process, yet I know that is your choice on what to share.
Here is a more complete set of steps, and you have already done some of them.
I used...
The papers (cut sheet and roll) are the same as far as surface finish, yet there may be some other differences, such as thickness.
Once you have the Canon test papers and set the media settings for those papers, you are well on your way to understanding the capabilities of your printer and ink.
I am not in the EU yet take a look at this web address for Canon Glossy paper 20 sheets that can be delivered express: https://office1.bg/en/products/foto-hartiya-plus-glossy-ii-pp-201-260-gm2-a4-20-lista
I cannot speak to what to expect with the katana papers. It seems unusual to be that scratch sensitive and comparing to a Canon paper using the exact media setting specified by Canon would be a good benchmark for the printer and inks. I would hope the canon papers would not have that problem...
