Did anyone get this issue fixed? I am having the exact same problem on 2 Epson Artisan 1430's. 5 in and all but the missing one recognized. All 6 in and none recognized.

So to keep this updated. I did a firmware update from 2012 to 2016. That didn't change anything. So it isn't a firmware issue. My first one that wouldn't power on, I got that one to turn on by taking off the back bottom piece and that must have released the jam that was causing the problem...

Dualbunny, I am having the EXACT same issue with my artisan 1430. Won't recognize all cartridges, but will recognize 5 when 1 is removed. Did you get this issue resolved? I have an extra artisan 1430 I can use for parts.
