Next question. The printhead is out and it still doesn't do anything; i thought I had read that I would get an error of some kind but that it would come to life (light, sound, something). Am I wrong about that or does that mean the printhead isn't the problem? Thanks again.

I understand. But I already have a new printhead and replacing it is easy. I don't have the logic board and even if I did I'm not up for replacing it. But thanks for the reply. I can relate.:confused:

I'm waking up this long-dead thread because the story of how to store a print-head doesn't seem to be complete: When you get ready to use your head that's full of preservation fluid, do you just put it in the printer, put carts in it, and print? (I'm assuming here that it hasn't been stored long...

So is there any hope for that cart? I usually keep empty OEM carts for refilling; can it be saved?
