    Canon Pro-100 won't power on

Yes, I would love for it to be the switch! I replaced the power supply early on. I'm trying to figure out how to get to the power switch, but even with the side panel removed it's not intuitive. The posts I'm finding about it show the side panel and switch panel already taken apart, but not how...

    Canon Pro-100 won't power on

Next question. The printhead is out and it still doesn't do anything; i thought I had read that I would get an error of some kind but that it would come to life (light, sound, something). Am I wrong about that or does that mean the printhead isn't the problem? Thanks again.

    Canon Pro-100 won't power on

I understand. But I already have a new printhead and replacing it is easy. I don't have the logic board and even if I did I'm not up for replacing it. But thanks for the reply. I can relate.

    Canon Pro-100 won't power on

I haven't experienced any previous problems with the printer, it's always worked great even after it (unexpectedly) sat in storage for a year with the printhead and carts in place. Since then I've been using it and it's been just fine. So I tried to turn it on the other day and it did nothing...

    print quality: high vs fine

I've always thought that the point of the custom window was to let you choose higher-quality printing. But if "1" in the custom window is the same as "High" in the print quality window, then it looks like the whole point of the custom window is just to let you choose something in between the...

    print quality: high vs fine

In the Canon printer driver, under the "main" tab, you have print quality settings. You have high, standard, fast, and custom. If you choose custom it opens up another window where you can choose quality levels from (depending on your printer and paper) 1 to 5, with 1 being the finest. Can...

    Cleaning solution: the ultimate test

There are many mentions in this thread of pharmacist's cart conditioning formula, but I can't find the thread where he actually tells how to use it. I kind of got the impression that you just fill the cart with it then dry the cart. Is that correct? Thanks

How to store a print head?

I thought it was supposed to be stored while still full of preservation fluid.

How to store a print head?

I'm waking up this long-dead thread because the story of how to store a print-head doesn't seem to be complete: When you get ready to use your head that's full of preservation fluid, do you just put it in the printer, put carts in it, and print? (I'm assuming here that it hasn't been stored long...

    What are these lines?

So is there any hope for that cart? I usually keep empty OEM carts for refilling; can it be saved?

    What are these lines?

Looks like you nailed it. A new cart fixed the problem. Much thanks.

    What are these lines?

    Okay, got it. Much cleaner.

    What are these lines?

That's very interesting! (Unfortunately I've already started the head-cleaning process with Windex, but live and learn.) I've uploaded the picture again. And it was new OEM. Thanks

    What are these lines?

Maybe I should change the topic of this post to: Why do the white lines change position every time I do a head cleaning?
