    iP3000 or i550 choice?

Steve, I've only ever done the one scale, 0 gauge, it's the only scale I could scratchbuild locos and wagons in, only from card and plastikard though. I've just started another small layout and have had to go round to a friends to print off some point drawings so that I could stick them to the...

    iP3000 or i550 choice?

Steve - Yes your quite right about the cartridges, I always did think the 4000 was a bit OTT for my needs, just the odd photo and bits for my model railway. Thank you for your reply Jim

    iP3000 or i550 choice?

I had an iP4000 and had a print head problem and like an idiot didn't buy another print head for it. Instead I bought an iP4300, I won't bore you with the problems, suffice to say that it went on the scrap metal lorry with other bits on Thursday last, "if you don't take the printer mate you...

Canon iP4000 think I've got banding problem

Thanks Jflan and on30, it's very nice of you to continue offering suggestions, I have bought a refurbished iP4300 on eBay from Digital River, a Canon Outlet here in the UK. I did check up on the price of a printhead and it was a lot more than the iP4300. As for the refilling of the iP4300...

Canon iP4000 think I've got banding problem

After much discussion with City Ink Express who very kindly phoned me at home, we came to the conclusion that the print head has failed. I am now going to look for another Canon printer and have seen several for sale on eBay. First though I will have to find out about them on this forum...

Canon iP4000 think I've got banding problem

I just made this after doing a clean and a deep clean, the lines are all the way along the colours, just get a bit fainter where the colours are a bit denser. Next I'm going to take out the cartridges and repressurise them. Jim The nozzle checks are fine no white lines at all

Canon iP4000 think I've got banding problem

Pharmacist Here is a scan of part of one of my TTV images the banding has now gone to white streaks, present in the blue and the green but not so much in the red. I suspect either a nozzle still blocked or the electrical gubbins has failed. I will try another cleaning, both standard and...

Canon iP4000 think I've got banding problem

Pharmacist, I'll explain what I've done so far; I've just started to use some new inks and cartridges from CityInkExpress, the inks were bottled and the cartridges were new ones. I filled them and left then for the sponges to fill up and put them in the printer, I must admit I was very pleased...

Canon iP4000 think I've got banding problem

I've not bothered very much about the print quality with my printer before, always thought it was OK. I noticed some banding the other day and looking at it closely it's not very nice. Reading lots of the posts here I tried; Cleaning Deep cleaning Removed the print head and soaked it in several...

Dear All, Thanks very much for this thread it has been an enormous help to me. I want to print some limited edition prints using my iP4000.
