Unfortunately it is needed down South- perhaps the fact there doesn't seem to be such services would indicate a business oppurtunity for experts on here?
Thanks for your reply hp. I have done a nozzle check and it shows no defects. However I still get green cast on normal quality. Re: the hobbicolors cartridges I did notice in the instructions it says part of the sponge should remain white and I always tried to do this but on the last few refills...
Hmmm did I answer my own question? Is it something to do with the cyan being refilled? But why would the green cast only occur in normal and not high quality? I think I have also noticed previously that I sometimes get little bands of colour on plain paper with the normal setting which will then...
As per title, on plain paper I am getting a green cast with normal quality setting, but it goes away if I set high quality- does anyone know a possible cause for this (I recently refilled the hobbicolors cart with cyan ink if that is relevent :/).

Thanks for your replies- I will see if I can find the i9900 in the UK. My friend is a painter so they just want enlargements to use as reference whilst painting (previously they have been getting them done for 20 pounds (40 dollars) each!

I am researching the best option for an artist friend who wants to enlarge photos to use as a reference for paintings. They are a bit of a technophobe so I'm not sure they could cope with the problems that often come up with refilling and CISs so I am thinking maybe a colour laser or at least an...
Thanks I'll have a look for it. I just read on the hobbicolors instructions that ink should be used up within 12 months - I bought mine in January and the pots are only about 1/2 full! Can I still go on using the ink past 12 months?
Hi, thanks for the explanation. Yes, as soon as I replaced the magenta with the new cartridge it was able to print a test page and photo without any cleaning! However I think the ink in the compatible cartridge isn't as good as the hobbicolors ink as I noticed the magenta was quite lot darker...
Thanks for your replies. I bought a whole new set of compatible cartridges today- I swapped the magenta but the ink level still shows 1/3 full as it showed before and after I tried to top up the magenta before with the refill. What can be causing the gauge to be stuck? Do I need to send it in...
Thanks for the advise on the screws and inks- I had noticed that the black printed a little greener than the original Canon but it's only really noticeable if you compare two prints side by side. I am now pretty sure at least my magenta has been leaking- will this have caused any serious damage...
Thanks for your reply. Yes I am using the hobbicolors cartridges that came with the ink. TBH I was nervous as soon as I first tried the screws as they didn't really seem to go in very easily and it wasn't clear whether they were tight enough or too tight as they just kept going round without...
I got my hobbicolors ink refill kit earlier this year for my new Canon MP760 multifunction- at first I thought everything was fine but gradually it seemed like I needed to go through a cleaning cycle every time I wanted to print in colour otherwise I would get either get coloured horizontal...
