    Powerchrome K3 on 1500W

Up to now: I performed 5 head alignments in a row before being rather happy with the result. I performed a nozzle check where I discovered that the first line of the purple test had color fading: it started blue and ended with the correct purple color. So I verified my magenta cart and it was...

    Powerchrome K3 on 1500W

OK thanks. I'll take a look tonight at the head alignment utility. I think I have see one in Epson printer tools. You're right, because of the vent plugs I did not prime the carts correctly at start. But after some cleaning processes it should be OK now. At least, I've seen so much ink...

    Powerchrome K3 on 1500W

Hi, I finally run out of OEM ink provided with the printer. Time to start a new journey: using the Powerchrome K3 ink from Octoink. I ordered 250 ml of each color what should correspond to my entire printer life... 1) Ink: I started first by a newbie mistake: I did not removed the vent plugs...

    Epson 1500w B&W profiling

Hi pharmacist, I already followed your advice concerning the Inktec Powerchrome K3 and I placed an order to Martin. I've also seen your results in B&W and I like the idea of a having separated set of B&W cartridges but since the heads are not on the cartridge how do you clean when you pass from...

    Epson 1500w B&W profiling

It is a bit too grainy form me indeed. But your adjustment idea sounds good to me. Perhaps using the datacolor profile, adjust the green color and make it a bit lighter?

    Epson 1500w B&W profiling

I only looked at the picture in the room where the printer is located. It's a relatively small room illuminated by 2x58W 840 fluorescent lamps. So it is quite bright. In order to be able to have a good soft proof on screen, I tried to match the picture illumination and the picture on computer...

    Epson 1500w B&W profiling

Before profiling I gave a test using the paper matching Epson profile and the result was far too light / contrasted and greenish. I could post the result once at home.

    Epson 1500w B&W profiling

Hi, I try to be serious with my profiling in order to avoid future headaches... So I read a lot before receiving my new Epson 1500w printer. Prior profiling the printer I profiled my screens (Samsung SynchMaster P2270 & 203B) targeting a 5800K, 100cd/m² white point using ColorEye Display...

Hi everybody, I'm a 35-year old guy from the French speaking part of Belgium. (Now you can understand why my writing is so poor and why I'll produce some English mistakes) I like photography but having not much time to dedicate to this hobby, I try to perform decent family portraits and some...
