Hi
I got the new black in the post today and it worked great. I will try the alcohol on the old one when I have to reload them next time. Whatever happened, even the CO started to work as well.
Thanks for all your help!
Hi Hat
Sorry, I should have written, I had already tried that. I will see what happens when the new cartridge comes.
Fingers crossed
On the plus side I can get A2 prints done for £5 in work, but they use roll photo paper. I can't even supply sheets for it

I know I sholudn't have done this. When I was reloading the ink cartridges with ink I unplugged the printer to stop it moving the tray back in. When I had completed the refill and reset cartridges the printer flashed the orange light despite all the cartridges being solid red. The trouble...
I wasn't using the printer much except to do tests once a week to keep the heads clean. I got that bit right. Unfortunately I let the CO on my Pro10s run out and suck air in. Can it be salvaged, or am I stuffed?
Thanks for any help.
As I was doing those two carts, I thought I might as well do the lot of them. I got to the end and thought... Have I made another mistake? Why was the photo cyan still in the box. Had I used it twice???!!! When I checked the laptop software it was showing half full. Had I forgotten to reset it...
Thank you ALL very much. I am not 100% sure what the problem was. I dumped and flushed both Magenta and Photo Magenta and it solved the problem. I think the magenta was ok, but I strongly suspect I put red in the photo magenta. I am a complete muppet.
This is the feedback from Octoink:
Hi William,
Bit difficult to tell from those images but at a guess it looks like it might be the Magenta and Light Magenta's switched around.
If you've topped up the cartridges rather than refilling from empty that might be a factor as it does look a bit...
Thanks for that. How do I empty it? Do I just put it on some tissue and let capillary action take effect or is there an easier/quicker way to flush it?
