You guys actually encounter these problems when refilling with dye ink? What I usually do is refill it to the same level as the sponge. I then usually shake the cartridge up and down until the excess ink drips onto the sink or toilet. After that I insert it into the printer and all is fine.

Ibelieve the i850 uses dye ink. Even with dye ink the printer works fine with other cartridges. I know its not the ink or print head problem. It's the cartridge O_O... Thank you to those who replied so far.

Aww, what your saying might be true. Because if I leave the cartridge in the printer for a while the printer prints normal then the black ink slowly fades away. I did try another cartridge and it still had the same result. Also, I used dye ink, not pigmented.
