Epson Stylus 1500W - Solutions for dedicated Β&W

I don't get what you mean by that, or if it is an inside joke, or even if an admin named "Mad Max" started deleting messages. Ok....i'll ask somewhere else. Thanks anyway.

Epson Stylus 1500W - Solutions for dedicated Β&W

Hello everyone I've decided to convert my old Epson 1500W to a dedicated black & white printer I've heard that there are some solutions with third party cartridges that convert this printer to monochrome but keep the color tones correct. Since most of my A3 prints are monochrome and i'm about to...

I use refillable compatible cartridges with autoreset chip, and i'm pretty pleased with them.

    First refilling experience

My 1500w (i think is the same model as the 1430) does that as well. Pretty cool actually! I don't have to worry about running out of ink in the middle of printing and waste both paper and ink.

Which Pigment Ink for Epson 1500W?

I thought about that, but after i googled for "printer profilling" i found that for good results i will need a spectrophotometer and special software. Is there a way to have decent results without paying for software or anything else? I'm not looking for excellent results, i just want to be as...

Which Pigment Ink for Epson 1500W?

I assume i'm using photo black as well, but i can't be sure. The bottle just says black pro-series. As for the paper, i 've learned that this is working, from the e-shop owner i bought the ink from. I asked him where could i find a paper that will come quite cheaper than a glossy one, and give...

Which Pigment Ink for Epson 1500W?

I have also used uncoated semi-glossy and velvet offset paper, with good results. With dye ink on that, the rsults were just terrible (expect if you go for a simulation of hand drawing), but with pigment ink the poster quality comes out very good.

Which Pigment Ink for Epson 1500W?

Generally all the colors of dye ink give me more vivid printings in photos. However, i have not encountered yet a problem with the six cartridges of pigment ink. I'm printing mostly flyers, and A3+ posters on glossy offset paper, but some of photos that i have printed on 10 X15 cm glossy...

Arggggh: auto-reset chips driving me mad !!!

What happens if we ignore the low indication and continue printing untill there is no ink. Other than having a poor printing will it cause any other problem? How does the printer behave? For example, i have noticed something with the OEM inks. My black was pretty low, near empty and the other...

Arggggh: auto-reset chips driving me mad !!!

So it deppends on the duty cycle of the printer each time. For the time being i have no need for a second set. When it comes to that i'll just buy one more. I am in need though for a resetter. Will the one few posts back, from ebay, be ok for the 1500w. I would rather not to order from Germany...

Arggggh: auto-reset chips driving me mad !!!

Ok, but i don't get why the 2 sets of cartridges. Lets say i have one set and i run out of yellow, while the other colors are at 20% and 45% and 60% or whatever percentage. If i pull them all out, refill all of them the amount of ink needed to be all 6 of them to 100% and reset them with a...

Arggggh: auto-reset chips driving me mad !!!

Hmmm... Even if it takes 2-3 weeks between the changes? Will the cartridges be ok in the tuperware? By your experience, how long can they stay in there with no problem? And what about the resetter? Isn't it a better solution?

Arggggh: auto-reset chips driving me mad !!!

Which is the best solution then? A second set of cartridges or a resetter? I 'm confussed. The pharmasist wrote to me in another thread to buy a second set, just two days ago, but i read now that he uses a resetter. And another question. Say that i buy a second set of cartridges...
