what do the dashes and sloping lines of dashes mean in nozzle check?

@Ink stained Fingers Well, it took more than a few days, but I finally removed my cleaning carts and put in my black and shades of grey carts. I thought at first my cyan cart had improved, but now that I look at it, not so much. Anyway, here it is... I've decided to simply resume printing and hope that continued use will clear out the remaining gaps. Maybe that's wishful thinking.

Thanks, as always,

@The Hat , well... now there's a thought - but then why would the other five cartridges usually show perfect checks - and the cyan cart never? Hmm....

Or maybe your friendly little emoji is teasing me!;)

Or it could be down to the actual prints themselves, some may not have enough cyan coverage in them, to exercise the cartridge sufficiently to keep the ink flowing freely, try shaking the cyan cart periodically, you never know it might help, the photo cyan maybe doing all the work instead..

@The Hat :

I finally found some time to remove my cyan cart and shake it as you suggested. Alas, no difference in my cyan pattern. But I'll continue to do that now and then, and when successful I'll let you know. Thanks for the suggestion!
