Sometimes when I’m on here I can get the page to freeze up, not all the time and I have to exit Nifty and re-enter to continue, its only in the past week or so that this is happening, anyone else get this or similar problems ?
I don’t have the same problem with any other website, just this one, very odd... :hu

Yes I've had the same experience here in the past couple of weeks. The first time I come to the site it is unresponsive and have to close out and try again or refresh and it will eventually come, but that first time just never seems to go anywhere.

I have no problems with the forum site being unresponsive. My OS is Win 8.1 64 bit and my default browser is Firefox 50.0.

I didn't experience any slow connections whatever in the past weeks - even the elephants got through.....

No issues for me on the forum either. Using Windows 10, Firefox v.50 and Norton Security. I am experiencing significant slowing of Slickdeals though the past couple of days which may be because of Black Friday deals.

Scan your 'puter with malwarebytes!
Certainly won't hurt!

Try CCleaner to clear out cache and cookies as well. Also, if something pops on Malwarebytes, running AdwCleaner is often recommended. (Bleepingcomputer, the site I linked for AdwCleaner, is an excellent site for security needs)

I appreciate all your suggestions, I just wanted to see if there were any issues on this site, and malware is never a problem here, my computers are dusted down once a week by an expert in that sort of thing.:caf

Anyway, I reckon @Ink stained Fingers gets the cigar, it’s probably the Elephants causing issues again, I’ll use my mouse to shift them...
Thanks guys.. :hugs

Half a year ago I had problems with Firefox being slow and unresponsive, especially if many tabs were open. I had no problems with Internet Explorer. For some reason Firefox used a lot more RAM than Internet Explorer.

My computer came with 4 GB of RAM installed, which is not much for a 64 bit Windows computer. I upgraded the RAM to 8 GB which I think is more suitable for a 64 bit computer, but Firefox still had problems. I don't remember the Firefox version number but I ordered the RAM at the end of May this year.

With newer versions of Firefox the problems have disappeared.
