Canon Pixma iP7250 and MG5350,
I have never ben able to connect this printer by wifi and assume this was a manufacturing problem. I downloaded the latest software and used the canon connect app but it would not connect. It did, however, work via USB. couple of days ago it ran out of color and I installed a replacement canon cartridge. Since then I have been unable to connect via USB. The printer works as a standalone copies but not via a computer. Again, I ran the Canon connect app but to no avail,

Any ideas?

Thanks - Sunnyjohn

Many thanks to the 128 of you who read my post. The problem is, of course, that there are now so many printers out there that it is difficult to find a solution to a somewhat more obscure one, as my one is. I paid £30 for it and that included two full cartridges. The cost of replacement cartridges is more than that, so I have taken the cartridges out, dumped the printer and bought another that does use the same cartridges. El fin!

I read the post, but didn't respond as I cannot figure out this strange error.

Many thanks. I think it must be a manufacturing fault, possibly with the printer's processor. I should have sent it back but I left it too long, thinking it was partly my problem. Ironically, I used the updated Cannon Connect software to update my old MG 5350 printer (yep- it's still working) and take it off USB and on line and it worked perfectly!

Since it was working before over USB when I had the other cartridge in, I would also suggest trying another USB cable and/or usb port first, then completely uninstall and reinstall the printer driver, and also see if the printer itself displays any error messages on it.
