Hello everyone.

I am new here so please can anyone help me. My printer has broken and I wonder if there is anything I can do.

There is a part next to the waste ink pad that has broken. The waste ink pad is permanently raised so when the carriage tries to return to the parked position its hitting the waste ink pad as its permanently raised. Is there a way of lowering the waste ink pad ?
I am new here so if I did anything wrong, I'm sorry. I'm an elder so please can someone give some help. Thanks

It seems a shame to scrap the printer because of this issue.

I hate when silly things like this happens and end the life of a good printer..

Question:- do you know anyone with a 3D printer and if so maybe they’ll oblige you by making a replacement part..

Or fix it yourself by carefully removing and cleaning the parts thoroughly and gluing them back together again with some Araldite two part adhesive..

I’ve done that with one of my printers in the past and the part is still holding up..

P.S. while your there, give the whole area in and around the purge unit a good cleaning by generiously splashing some Window cleaner on the area and mopping it up with paper towels..
