An update to this Topic, I have found that the Canon pro 10, on A3+ sheet give much more details compare to the ET8550 on Fotospeed Platinium Etching Paper (Fine Art Paper).
Color accuracy is also much better on a Standard Image (test images from Jtoolman).

Therefore I decided to buy Octoinks, since Canon inks perform only significantly better on glossy paper (for that I have the ET8550).

The PRO-10 is not only better on glossy papers (with good CO) but also on matte and fine art the gamut is better and the blacks deeper than with the PRO-9500(II).
Only the nasty 30mm border with fine art settings...

There's a trick to getting rid of that

The only one I know is a hack in Qimage.
Cumbersome, and still about 5mm border left.
I might be thinking of something else but, I think what some people are doing is filling the black in cartridge with the other black ink. This allows them to pick the other print setting and still get that black.

This was recommended often indeed, but - at least on the 9500 - printing with BK settings lays less ink, so you don't get the maximum black level (already reduced on matte papers).
Never tried this on the PRO-10, so you can give it a chance.
