Are you now able to use any or all of the aftermarket cartridges?

all bar one (The yellow) are working...
I do not understand what you mean by "bar" or how the Yellow cartridge (OEM or aftermarket?) is involved.

Please clarify.

Sorry it's an English (British) Phrase... All Bar means with the exception of....

So all of the aftermarket cartridges are now working "With the exception of" the yellow cartridge (aftermarket)..

Just wondering if you or anyone has a description how to add an external waste ink tank ( not sure it needs it right now but just in case ) thanks

I had tried swapping each in turn before but found it still went into B500 on each.
I’ve have read your posts with interest, but can’t make head or tails of some of your comments, leaving that aside for now, the main problem your having is with the type of compatible carts you have purchased.

If you examine an OEM cart and then your compatible cart, you’ll notice the plastic pin (Light sensor) is not straight, but it needs to be, so slip a screwdriver onto the pin and bend the pin back a few times, you can get it fairly straight for the cart to be excepted…

See this post..

P.S. Dont go messing around inside the Pro 1 printer, you'll end up killing it, without the proper knowledge.. Waste ink tank fitting instructions..

Thank you Mr Hat... Sorry about my terminology i kinda make sense to myself :)
I have now got a good result and the printer is working except the aftermarket yellow and they are sending me a replacement for that and 50% off of the cost of the cartridges... The compatible cartridges do not appear to have a plastic light sensor pin... See attached image, OEM cartridge on the left compatible on the right

Well make one from an empty cart, cut the piece and glue it in place on the yellow cart....
No need to yet. OP is getting a replacement cartridge from the seller. :)

On any of them.. ? :( Well make one from an empty cart, cut the piece and glue it in place on the yellow cart....

Nope none of then have it... Looking online at the compatibles for sale it appears this light sensor pins has been discarded the base is just molded flat... This guy shows a similar cartridge in this video at around 6 mins 30 seconds in, its not quite the same but very similar and again no light sensor.

I don't want to cut up the original OEM set i have because i want to get a refilling kit and use those carts once i have it all running properly.

I have looked at a few compatible cartridges online from different sources and they all appear to be this inferior quality

Refilling your OEM carts is the best option, empty the compatibles one by one and then swap the chip over all the time making sure you have the right ink and chip on the correct cart.. You can refill the OEM carts indefinitely

On Monday I am going to be talking to a guy who supplies the chips and a refill kit (Can't think of company name at the moment). Can you recommend a good ink supplier? Flipping stuff is so expensive.
Is the ebay stuff any good?

You can either get ink from the UK or Germany, but no matter where you get it from it’s going to be expensive, and each of these places have the necessary refill tips for your PGl-29 carts.

The cheapest place to source PGl-29 chips is from AliExpress, again they are not cheap, please note buying ink on EBay is not a good thing, most places sell you dye ink and not pigment and the colours are way off too.. You’ve been warned..
