Dear printmakers!
We draw vector maps of cities and countries, having a significant size library, and sometimes some misunderstanding appears with our clients.
For example, a customer need a map of a big city (Chicago), and wants it with a full detalization – all streets with names, buildings, etc.
...For printing 2x2 foot. What is physically impossible – street names would be very small, less than 0.05. And obviously, it`s not “readable”. Normally, for a small size printing we offer maps with less detalization – only main street names and main objects like schools, parks and hospitals.
The question is: how can we explain it (in a few words) to a girl from Canada or Southern States?

If we can understand the issue from your short statement, it should be understandable by your customers.

Yes, in a few words, we need some easy-to-understand-explanation that works. For me everything is clear, you know, the file description tells about all dimensions and has the complete info about what are you purchasing.

Before buying... This is a digital products, so we want less refunds (PayPal have this supa-dupa option) cause of misunderstanding.

If the map is for large size printing (3mx3m+) we put it in the description.

Like this one, it has "For printing SMALL format"

Just to clarify, "For printing SMALL format", means it is NOT meant to be printed large, and is instead meant to printed small? How small? How large?

I would recommend something like, "This map will look best larger than X by Y or there is a risk some labels may be too small to read. You can use [this other map] to print smaller."

Hm. Probably we should use some universal phrase-explanation like this, yeah, and thanx!!!
