Hello I´m a new member of this Forum.

I found this Forum during my search of my not working Canon Pro-1.

Photograph is my very loved interest and I spend a lot of time in my darkroom...to much time and so I bought a printer. It is the Canon Pixmar Pro-1. The Printer was new, never used but 3 years old. So there is no guarantee. During the Installation I followed most exactly the intrusions manual. After I put the original packing print had in, there append not what the manual says. The printer should fill the pipes whit Ink, but he did not. I put of the printer cable and tried it again. The printer starts normal and showed no error code. Everything seems OK. But there is now Ink in the pipes and I stopped this attempt because I fear the damage of the Print head. The inks are original packing pgi29. I put them strictly correct in. I think it is a tiny problem with fatal error....

Is it possible to start the first instillation process of the Pro-1 again to fill the Pipes with ink?

Now I´m very sad and helpless.

Can some body help me?

Best greetings and thank you.

All of them! LOL
Let me guess! Did you get alternating blinking light Yellow and White?
That is a B-200 Error.
Remove the Print Head and unplug the printer from the wall socket.
Wait about 30 minutes.
Re plug the printer to the wall outlet.
Repeat the installation procedure and hope for the best.
The Hat and Mikling will chime in I am sure!

Can you move the Print Head Carriage at all? The #1-and #2 Print head locking levers should not be locked up. Where is the print head Carriage positioned now?

@Ossi, just follow @jtoolman instructions exactly and your printer should restart the installation procedure once again for you, if you still have a problem them PM me for further instructions, please note:- close all doors, flaps, and lids before unplugging the printer...
Remove the Print Head and unplug the printer from the wall socket.
Wait about 30 minutes.
Re plug the printer to the wall outlet.
Repeat the installation procedure and hope for the best.

Hello The Hat und Jtoolman

I start the printer and turned off the Power cord. Then the Print head was in the middle position and I can move him left and right. But the #1-and #2 Print head locking levers are looked. Or I´m to stupid to louse them. I put the blue clamp to open the locking levers but it don´t work. I tried it the same way as I installed the Print head. Also today there is no error code, the white lamp still shine. But no ink today.. (no ink today my love is on the....).

I´m lucking forward to hearing from you.

Thank´s al lot.

Hallo The Hat and Jtoolman,

after I did “it” (wile my hard was beading so fast) it takes something like 15min, I opened the cover and there was Ink in the pipes!!! Heaaaah! I followed the Windows installation and did today my first photo-prints on the Pro-1, (and on a photo-printer at all).

*********THANK YOU SO MUCH************

You rescuer my day and gave the trouble that I had a meaning.

Thank you so much;)

The colour prints are amazing, and the BW prints are god but I have to practice a little bit. It is so great to go out, doing some pictures and print them out...holding paper picture in your hand...without darkroom, chemicals, drying press test prints and so on.

Thank you very much and best greetings form Bielefeld
