Hi all.
I'm a maker from a little corner of North West England. I like designing and building stuff and dip my toe in the waters of many fields such as printing, electronics, 3D printing, sign making, plastics et-al. I take things apart and make them do things they were not designed to, and often end up stretching kit to and beyond their limits of capability. I use various 'printers' in my pursuits, and I hope to gain more knowledge and share that which I already have with others in this forum. I'm looking forward to it! :)

Hi @BlueToBits and welcome, it sounds very much like you’ll fit in here without too much redesigning, we’re always glad to have guys here who look at a box and wants to print or change it for the better... :D
Our 3D section is only new, but it’s growing fast..:weee

If only I could get @stratman to think in 3D instead of 2...:ep
I am thinking about it. I have even found ready-made files for projects I've thought about, such as a holder for my Kindle. :thumbsup

Hmmm. It seems I may be entering into a slight 'difference of opinion' here. When new things come into our lives, some embrace it, others fear it. Electricity was once black magic Travelling faster than a horse could carry you was considered foolhardy, then synthesizers were going to be the death knell for the music industry, and the mobile phone? Who needs a mobile phone when there's a call box on almost every street corner? As for the internet, well - I suppose the jury's may be out for quite a while yet on that one ;)

No, that was Yoko Ono. :sick

Don't get me started on cell phones. :rant

Well!!!

Society became the bane of evolution. Especially when stupidity was no longer fatal.

Then along came the cell phone and stupid people could start walking into traffic whilst texting. Use the cellphone in the bath and electrocute themselves. Kill themselve texting whilst driving their motor vehicles. The possibilities are limitless.
Now all is well with Darwinism, and it is all due to the cellphone. :ya
