I noticed on the "what's in the box" it lists introductory ink tanks so I doubt they have much ink in them. I didn't realize Canon was starting to use these partially filled cartridges in their new printers. In addition they want $35 to ship it.

The program was called Mission Impossible and was the basis for 3 Tom Cruise movies. When I have cartridges that are worn out I take them to Staples and get $2 credit for each one.

I've dealt with them for the better part of 20 years and their service had always been excellent. I'm at a loss to understand what's going on. I'll give them till the 19th then I'm going through Pay Pal to get my money back.

I've had excellent results with ink from InkSupply.com (MIS supply) with my Canon printer and with HP's, Lexmarks, and older Canons. My current printer uses PGI5 and CLI8 cartridges and they also have some decent refillable carts with auto reset chips.

I've had a MP600 since just after they came out and have only had to replace the print head once. I don't use it real heavy, I probably average 500 double sided sheets a month. I refill and would hate to have to give up the CLI-8 and PGI-5 cartridges. I personally would buy a new printhead...

Thanks for the input. My son is totally non technical and I'm not willing to get involved with these cartridges. As usual he didn't ask my opinion before buying the printer.

My son had a MX 700 which he recently destroyed. Because it used the PGI5 and CLI8 cartridges I was able to refill for him. He's bought a printer which uses a PG 240 and a CL 241. Are these refillable and is there a resetter available for them? Thanks for any replies.
