Pro-100 Down To $59.00 After Rebate!

Next thing you know, Canon will start giving away free beer with the purchase of a PRO-100!

It might be worth picking one up just for the carts and printhead (and the paper)! I already sprung for one at Amazon...and rebates are "limited to one per household".

If anyone has managed to get TWO rebates in one household from two suppliers), please advise

There was one post on here, I can’t recall where, but a guy said he got a printer from two different suppliers, so it is possible, I think Jtoolman did something similar for couple that he gotten plus 1 from Craig’s List.

If you got a chance to get another one then go for it, it’s much cheaper than buying a set of cartridges let alone a new print head plus the paper, that’s even cheaper than the redsetter..

Looks like it was a one-day deal...oh well...

Using black dye ink, text looks OK, similar to other black dye text.

Have not tried CD printing yet...

Still cheaper than buying a set of carts, plus you get a spare printhead!

At $59 it's a steal. At $98 - meh.

Thank you for the additional info, turbguy. I have more a need for good text rather than image reproduction. If Santa Claus drops the price again I would grab one or three on the friends and family plan.

The rebate forms appear so similar, that there is a possibility that CanonUSA will reject a second rebate to the same household.

I noticed on the "what's in the box" it lists introductory ink tanks so I doubt they have much ink in them. I didn't realize Canon was starting to use these partially filled cartridges in their new printers. In addition they want $35 to ship it.
