Hi,

I have an L1300.
It has cmyKK (2 black tanks).
why the need for 2 black.

I am aware that some paper setting will trigger the printer to use cmy to print black and other setting the printer will just use black to print black.
But why 2 black tanks ?

Thank you for any explanation.

The L1300 is the Ecotank version of the privious B1100 A3 printer which used a printhead with 2 black ink channels and jnozzle rows in the printhead to improve the printing speed which are supported by 2 ink tubes in the L1300.

Please have a look to the manual

It's shown on p 39 - both tanks need to be filled with ink, Epson does not split one ink line closer to the printhead for both nozzle rows.
