When cleaning cartrdiges under maintenance, you can clean the all colours, black or just colours

If you've got a problem with just one single colour, then you have to WASTE a LOT of ink cleaning ALL colours

Is it possible to clean just the single colour?

Thanks

No, unless you have a different set of cartridges filled with water or some other innocuous fluid to substitute for the cartridges you don't want to drain.

Concerning your title: contact Cannon.

Ahhh... I wonder why the manufacturers designed the printer like that?

Could it be they want to sell you more ink ;) Naw... they wouldn't do that would they :idunno

Just as well ink is cheap for us refillers!

When cleaning the printhead you have 3 options because there are just 2 pads. To be able to clean any colour individually you would need as many pads as the number of cartridges/colours your printer uses (4,5,6,8,10...). Then you would need a lot more tubes leading to a much bigger pump. Why would any manufacturer do that? Just so you can buy less ink? This is their business: INK. Printers are given as a bonus...

The good news is - by refilling you don't have to worry about the amount of ink "wasted" in the cleaning cycles. You can also be happy that the cleaning cycle is keeping ALL of the nozzles clear.
