Hi. I purchased a Pro 100 on Facebook marketplace and it appears to be defective. There is a white plastic piece inside right near the two sponge pads that the print head sits on. When the carriage moves that white plastic piece makes a loud snapping noise repeatedly and the printer goes into an error state. The orange light flashes 11 times which is supposedly either wrong paper size or something to do with print head alignment. It definitely has nothing to do with paper size because I can't even get that far. I'm guessing it is a mechanical issue that I would not be able to fix but I am out 150 dollars so was wondering if anyone might have any ideas. Thanks!

Yes it can be fixed with the help of someone who owns a Pro 100, but you may need spares parts, (Something missing ) like a spring, or best option, you could return the printer and get a refund..

Thanks. Unfortunately I can't return it as the seller claims no responsibility. The spring is still in tact. I can see it move because the carriage is not locked and I can move it to the center. But I can't tell what is broken or why it is snapping like that. Unfortunately also I recycled my old Pro 100 so I do not have it for parts but it would be very hard to get to even if I could replace the part. The printer would have to be disassemled. Thanks for your reply.
