I bought a couple Canon MP830's and I want to test them out as they were refurbished. I thought they would be problem free, but the first one was broken and had to take it to a canon service center. What would be the ideal way of testing and then storing the printer?

This is just a thought... Hoping someone will give more inputs.
Take the print head out. Put it on a paper tower soaked with Windex. Put Windex onto the ink inlet screens. Let the Windex drain through the nozzles onto the the paper tower. Keep putting Windex until no more ink coming out of nozzles. Replace paper tower as you go. Put it back into the print head holder. Keep it in a sealed bag or container.
I noticed that there are light blue liquid on the print head holder when I installed my MX850 two months ago.
