Anyone here a vendor for toner refills or know how easy these are to fill? These are starting to be clearanced out in various stores. I'd prefer the 3185FX but there's no phone jack where it's going anyway.
I've found the laser toner refill business to feel more like the regular printer business than something meant to help consumers. It's generally only 33% cheaper or less, and there's very little price difference if you buy the toner and do it yourself vs buying pre-filled carts. On top of that, a lot of companies sell new chips as extras, not included with a refill kit, so in the end you're doing a lot of work to only save about 25% off, which I can get close to anyway if I play my Staples coupons the right way.
Kudos to all you inkjet refill suppliers who actually save us significant amounts of money rather than being "a little cheaper than OEM".
