Samsung CLP-315W leaves line on first print

On the 2nd print it's slightly faded, on the 3rd print it's gone.

I have it chipped. Before I go digging and breaking something, I thought I would ask here for advice.

Samsung CLP-13-series printers are junk. I know.

I bought one around 15 years ago, and it was great for a few years.
Then it turned into a nightmare of nonfunctional garbage:

Wouldn't initiate to functional status, kept powering on to an unusable state,
removal/reinsertion of imaging drum did nothing, and the list goes on.
The printer became nonfunctional after around 3 or 4 years.

I later went with a Xerox laser, and it's been doing well with third-party cartridges.

I am sorry to hear you had issues with your Samsung printer that had served you well for a couple of year.

But why knock the printer for your inability to resolve the issue when a service manual would most likely have helped you out, obviously the printer was too old for the Tech support route ! Because HP now do their Tech Support..

P.S. Printers do wear out unfortunately..

This one has been fantastic. If I could resolve this toner leak, I could sell it (replaced now with an ET-8550 for color prints, and the Brother Laser for documents)

It sounds like the first-page line issue on the CLP-315W is likely a hardware/print-engine problem rather than software.
