Has anyone successfully refilled Canon ip1600 cartridges? If so how do you over-ride the ink level chip so it recognizes a full cartridge? Please give details.
Thanks for your help.

Please confirm the Type Number of these cartridges, Are they 40 and 41? A Black and a Tri colour?

iP1600 is just like iP1200, they use the same carts, 40 and 41 IIRC.

jdiem, I don't know if there is a chip resetter currently available. You can refill those carts, but when the printer software "thinks" the ink is out, you lose the ink monitor system, BUT you can continue refilling and using the printer even after the printer says it is empty.

This page will give you some ideas how and when to refill and why. Good luck!
