PRO-100 FW 2.031 - Reset Ink Absorber Help

Hello, does anyone know how to reset the ink absorber on a PRO-100 FW 2.031? I was able to reset one on FW 1.something, but it did not work for this one even on the latest service tool. Before I get rid of it, I would like to know:

1) Has anyone had success in resetting one on FW 2.something?
2) Is it possible to downgrade firmware?
