When I replaced my black and magenta cartridges, the printer went through its normal automated loading, but used about 3/4 of the black and about a half of the magenta. It usually uses about 1/8 of the black and the same with the magenta anyone know why it did that this time?
I have a WF 2860 Epson

What type of cartridges are affected - are you using the standard or XL size ? Are you using Epson OEM or other 3rd party products ?

are you normally using XL cartridges ? But in this case just the small ones - the printer takes the same amount of ink for the cleaning cycle but much less ink is left in the small cartridges.
