I have a Designjet T120e, 24", for about a year now and really like the way it prints photographs. I've been looking for a light weight canvas to try, but most seem too heavy. HP says a max of 11.8 mil and 280 gsm. I have found several that are listed as 19-21 mil and 350 gsm. Any thoughts on how they would work ?

I printed on canvas with my old Epson 2200 and it came out well. Maybe just beginners luck, as I never gave a thought to any spec's.

Thanks for any help,

Charlie

the platen gap - the distance between head and paper - is relevant in this case, and canvas is thicker than paper for the same weight - less density of the fibrous structure. It most likely would not work reliably with the numbers you are posting. I don't know whether that printer has an option to adjust the platen gap, via the driver or just mechanically.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that might be the case. I doubt the printer can be adjusted. I'll just keep looking for a lighter weight canvas.
