Need a new Canon refillable printer please!

After years of good service my S520 is dying a slow death! I am keen to stick to Canon if possible unless someone can give a good alternative.

I want a color printer only as opposed to an all in one. Also am indifferent to photo printer. Main criteria is the cartridges must be refillable - being a student an very cost concious.

The Canon 3500 and 4500 are good printers but are getting harder to find as it seems to be close to replacement with a new series of cartridges (at least in Hawaii). Maybe at stores like Staples or Fry's (none in Hawaii).

You might want to try HP Deskjet printers. They are fast compact, simple to set up and easy to use right out of the box. The units are easy to use and economical for a variety of everyday full color and black text printing tasks even if its just draft printing. In some areas, the ink cartridge can be refilled for a limited time to save costs for students like you.
