Dave.1 - Good advice from Osage (Sage = one with wisdom). After you read through the refill instructions on the Hobbicolor website plus Alotofthings and the inksupply.com sites you should read the entire section on this forum on sealing the fill hole. It is really an excellent discussion about what does and does not work well. Also, go to the top of the page and click on Neil Slade's link. Hopefully, he still has info on his very simple technique for refilling. Just don't be intimidated. It isn't rocket science.

In terms of refilling----read up on this forum---lots of good suppliers, but make sure the ink
you get is formulated for Canon printers. And I doubt Websnail would steer you wrong and if good deals are offered its sure something to consider. Because shipping costs and small quantity orders can eat savings.
Sharing is always better.
Yup... definitely... and just to note, this is ink from the Netherland distributor for Image Specialists (who recently were found to be the MIS supplier) and I intend to put this in my own printers so it's not cheap and cheerful, although it is actually cheaper than buying from MIS.

Anyways, enough about that...

As it goes I've realised I need to learn a few refilling tricks with the Canons anyway as I won't be able to get all my printers up and running before all the CIS parts I have on order arrive as well.. :p

To fotofreak,

Actually I took the name Osage from a tree with very dence wood, that is the US is various called Bois de Arc, Osage Orange, or just plain hedge. So Osage =wooden headed.

And Dave.1--forgot to mention that another possible option is start out with third party pre-filled cartridges and sell the Canon OEM cartridges that come with your printer on someplace like ebay.
