These ink injection kits, do they really work?

Was looking at getting one to try, talked to a buddy, he said the ink comes out light.

is this true? or whats a good kit to get?

By mentioning an "Ink Injection Kit", do you mean a Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS) with large external tanks and tubing to the printer?

Or, do you mean an ink cartridge refilling "kit", that injects ink into an empty cartridge with syringes?

Also, we need to know the printer Make and Model to answer you.
