Well, I think I did it this time. I don't know when to stop. I've had streaking in the past and read all of your input on how to clean things up (hot water/alcohol). It has worked up until now. This time I was still getting some streaking so I removed the 2 screws holding the head in place and then proceeded to clean things. I thought no harm since the ribbon will not be severly strained or twisted in the process. Well, after cleaning and putting things back together I put the printhead back in the printer, went to print and received an error that my print head is not recognized. I'm sure it's a clean as new but I can't do much if the printer doesn't recognize it.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm, i've never taken a printhead apart, I would have thought its dead now to be honest. Although it might be worth just taking it apart again and making 100% sure everything looks as it should, putting it all back together again and crossing your fingers. Could any connections have gotten wet maybe dry it with a hair dryer?
