Thanks to the encouraging words of the fine folks of this fine, fine forum, I decided to just eff it and get me a new iP 3300 that was going for real cheap (around US$81). This is my second fixed-head printer after my iP 1000, which I had to give up since the print head got clogged and I could not, for the life of me, clear it out.
I sure hope this printer lasts longer than the other one.
With regards to this, please, please, point me to relevant threads/articles that I should download, print, and bind into a "printer-maintenance manual." I plan to use the German method for refilling, so any thread on this as well as purging carts and maintaining the printhead would be welcome. Threads/articles on clearing out clogs on the cart/printhead would be awesome as well.
I'm still learning the words related to my new printer (ie, cart numbers) so my search-fu here is weak.
