How to store a print head

Can someone advise me on how best to store a print head taken out of a printer?

I'm selling on ebay and need to take out of the body

What dangers are there? Will it dry up if left in the open?

You should get as much ink out of the print head as possible before removing it from the printer. With chipless cartridges, this is easy because you can just remove the cartridges and do several deep head cleanings until nothing prints, then clean the bottom of the print head of residual ink and store the print head in a zip lock bag. But with chipped cartridges, you should remove the ink from them using my draining technique, reset them and put them back in the printer to continue with deep head cleanings. Just make sure your purge pump system is working well when you do this.
