How print color text with Canon Pixma iP3000?

I bought a Canon Pixma iP3000 last week. I like it, but I have one problem.

How do I get the iP3000 to print text in color?

How do I get the iP3000 to print text black?

I am using a Macintosh with OS X 10.3.

I have been able to print black and color text using EasyPhotoPrint but that means I have to save what I wish to print as an image.

I have checked the ink heads and they are okay. Also, it prints through EasyPhotoPrint.

Any suggetions?

If you are talking about printing a page of text with some or all of it in a color you need to control that with the program that created the text document. That would be your word processing program. If it is text with graphics or a photo you would select the color in the graphics or photo software you use.
