Most of the info so far are for making a B type CD tray. It took me quite some time to make successfully a F type tray (for MP600 etc.). The key difference between B and F is the position of right reflector. No need to cut the square holes for reflectors - just tape them on the top surface. Made all from paper and taped bottom and top together with some thin double-side tapes. Works perfectly. Notice how accurately the images are centered (the key is to fine tune the position of the right reflector).

fixup,... You mention fine tuning, but your dimensions show just the center loctions of the silver square. This does not seem to be very accurate unless the system is also looking for some edge.

The 29.5 and 29.5 mm is accurate enough for the sensor to find the right reflector. Don't put this reflector too off this location or the sensor won't find it and the CD tray is rejected. Once the sensor sees this refletor, it will move back and forth around this reflector to locate its center and use it as the reference point for the CD image. So the precise positioning of this reflector is very critical.
