Just found out about this forum via a post on the Luminous Landscape website.
I've been into photography since '72 when I was in college and became interested in the darkroom side shortly thereafter. Did my own film & printing in a makeshift darkroom in my parents basement, then in my apartment followed by a bedroom in our mobile home after I was married. After our child was born, was allowed to move my darkroom to my mother in law's basement. In all those years, I progressed from B&W to color processing, learning all I could.
In 2004, I made the jump to digital and acquired my first Epson, an EX, followed by a 1280. I became interested in digital B&W and acquired a 1400 to use as a dedicated B&W printer using the MIS inks. Shortly thereafter, I discovered the piezography inks. In 2006 , I moved up in printers by getting the Epson 4800. I purchased a 2nd 4800 (used) to use with piezography and replaced both last year with the Epson P800 for piezography & the P900 for color.
