Hi, I'm Conrad, though you may have seen me as Ruby Rod on some other forums. I'm a fat old arthritic guy who's been at this photography nonsense for about 60 years. I think I still have the Instamatic I carried around when my parents took me to Expo 67 in Montreal. Not good at it yet, but I keep trying. I found this site only recently, when getting more involved with color management, spectrophotometers and profiles. The knowledge of some people here is astounding.

I did a couple years at RIT for photography, and I like to say they prepared me perfectly for a world that no longer existed by the time I got there. Still, I want to shoot some 4x5 before I croak.

The world is full of interesting things and, unfortunately, I seem to be interested in all of them. Every desk and table is littered with projects, none of which are moving very fast. Even my table saw is 100% table and 0% saw. I dabble in machining, electronics, hi-fi and book collecting. Plus other stuff.

Anyway, nice to be here and I look forward to learning a few new tricks.
