Hi,
I am new to this forum but am having a problem with aligning the head on the epson 4800. I am printing black and white on crane's museo portfolio rag. All of a sudden I am getting what looks to be a grid on the prints, fine lines like a screen door. I did a head alignment but really don't understand what I am looking for and whether it is right or not. Questions: should I use the paper on which I am printing for the head alignment or does it matter. For a good head alignment, what should the printout look like?

I would really appreciate help. I have to make another 24 prints in the next month....

thanks. Janet

Take this with a pinch of salt but I would definitely be doing the head alignments on normal paper if your "rag" media is more prone to ink bleeding into it and blurring the definition slightly.

As to the rest you probable want to take a scan of the afflicted area and post a link to it on here for those in the know to take a proper look.
