Epson R280 refilling of ink cartridges

Hello all. I just bought a brand new Epson R280 and the black ink ran out very fast. Can you refill these like regular cartridges? Anyone know where you have to drill the hole in the thing to refill it?

I can not seem to find any info on it on line anywhere.

Epson cartridges of that generation are particularly difficult to refill and you would still have the problem of a chip that is marked indelibly as empty (you cannot reset an R280 chip once it blows).

Much easier and frankly better would be to locate either:
- some refillable cartridges designed specifically for purpose
OR
- a CIS system for your model...
