Just used up the first OEM cart on my MP600.

Lamp is slow flashing and the warning says the ink is low('!'). It has been for some time.
When I lift the cart to check the level, the tank side is absolutely empty.

Do I replace now or wait until I get 'final warning' showing 'X'?

Wait till you get the final warning, also as the ink gets depleted in the sponge side the light will flash faster.

You should refill it now because the tank is physically empty, despite that the chip only says it is low. Your printer's sensor should detect it empty very soon any way. It is strange that it hasn't said so.
