Compatible PGI-550/CLI-551 cartridges now available in Germany

There are two different solutions, in one case the compatible cartridge comes with a compatible chip, in the other case you have to cut the chip from an OEM cartridge and attach it to the compatible cartridge.

I wonder if we will soon see a resetter for these cartridge or the Chinese manufacturer would prefer to sell many compatible cartridges instead of one resetter to each Canon user? I wonder when or if the company making the Redsetter will have the new resetter for sale?

Ive got a couple of refillable compatible 551 carts on order from China with chips,
ARC chips they say but I will have to wait and see if this is correct or just one time chips.

I am planning on cutting up one of the 551 start-up cartridges
to see its internals and then try to figure out how to refill them.

I also have the idea of not running the cartridges dry but refilling them when the low ink warning has popped up,
that way Ill still have ink monitoring for as long as it takes the printer to show the (Out of ink) notice,
its work in progress and Ill report back when I got some news..
