Has anybody heard whether or not Claria-equivalent inks are in development? MIS flat out admits that their dyebased inks are not as good as the Claria ink but doesn't state whether or not new inks are in the works. I've noticed Epson's latest wide-format photo printer, the 1400, uses dye Claria rather than the pigment Ultrachrome like the R1800.
Alternatively, has anyone tried using pigment inks in the R260 or R380? I'm quite thankful that I bought 2 R220s before they discontinued the older-style ink tanks but am curious as to how well the new ones will be useful for refilling, especially with a current lack of pigment inks from both refillers -and- Epson.
Hmm, I wonder if the HP printers with built-in heads that use the 02 cartridges are thermal or piezo...
