Does anybody know were I can get a second paper tray i.e the bottom one for an Pixma ip5000?

not exactly but you may wish to consider the following :-

It is very likely that it is similar to the 4000, the 4000 one is very similar to the 5200, the 5200 is very similar to the 4200.

I have swopped my 5200 one into the 4000 and it worked fine.

It would be helpful if you could inform which country you are resident in. ??? via e-mail here if you wish.

The spare ones I know of (many 4200`s) are unlikely to be shipped out of the UK , owing to the fragile nature and the probable low return.
