Hi all,

First post here. Like you all, I am a budget ink consumer. I'm really very aggravated at Canon for going the chipped route. The "old chipless generation" are fading away and it's a very very sad sight to see.

Anyways, I've owned my Canon MP780 for a little over a year now and it's exhibiting clogged ink. :( :(
I've tried to run several deep print head cleanings with no resolution. If you guys have any tips that would help, I'd really appreciate it. Apologies if this is a noob question.

I've used Abacus Ink from abacus24/7 private) for some time and have been happy with the results. However, based off the feedback from this forum, I'm planning to get the Hobbicolors refill kit from eBay which will a) save me even more money b) save the environment & garbage (wasteful ink) c)provide me with better ink.

I also wanted to post a stern warning against purchasing Meritline/ABCInk. All of my problems occured a short time after I started using those ink cartridges. I bought a few on what I thought to be a spectacular deal. Turns out it was no deal at all. ;(\

EDIT: 2 other questions

1) Do you guys think the "Cleaning Cartridge - for use with Canon BCI-" will help my clogging problem? here: http://private.abacus24-7.com/compatibility.aspx?compat=13598

2) Also, I want to purchase some Hobbicolors ink. I found someone on eBay named "kbay2002". Is this the official hobbicolors company? I can't tell from the name.

Crap, now the printer is saying "Printer is not responding".

This can't be a good sign.
