canon mp-510 problem

just bought a canon mp-510, did everything as said in the manual,
and the lcd screen says "error code 5010". Couldn't find any definition or clarification for what it means, please help.

never mind- the computer store people replaced it and this one works fine.

In response to your query, please be advised that the error code "5010" indicates there is a scanner error and the printer will require service.

If the printer was bought recently you can contact the dealer and check the replacement program.

If you are outside the replacement policy, please find below a list of authorized service centers for your device and some packaging instructions:

The following office peripheral products: A3 and portable printers which are still under warranty, Laser Beam Printers, PC/FC Copiers, Multifunctional Devices and Fax machines benefit from on-site service.
