Canon i865 Wont Start

Please can someone help me,i have just bought a second Canon i865 printer as a spare,i started it up and it worked fine.
But when i connected my original Canon i865 it wouldnt start up,when i push the "on" button its as if theres no power getting through or a fuse has blown somewhere...any suggestions please...thanks

Any LED flashings or any indications the printer is on?
Did you use the same power cord for the both printers? Try that - may be the power cord went bad.

Tried different cords,tried both new and old printer with the same cord only new printer worked and no lights at all when i switch on.
